Jehu, son of Hanani, is the prophet who declared YHWH’s judgement to Baasha, king of Israel, blam- ing his apostasy because he followed the sins of Jer- oboam (1Kgs 16:1–7). According to the book of Kings, Jehu’s prophecy was fulfilled after Baasha’ death, during the regin of his son, Elah (1Kgs 16:9–12).
